Gauss provides a comprehensive college consulting service for our students. Colleges consider all four years of high school grades, courses, activities, summer plans, and awards when reviewing applicants, so it’s important to start the college preparation process as early as possible. Our programs are tailored to fit each student, no matter what stage of the college admission process they are in. Comprehensive programs can start as early as 8th grade or much later in the process before seniors have just started on their applications. We’re here to help guide students through the entire process – or the specific areas where they need the most support.

Our approach is to work with students to determine the best combination of college counseling, test or competitions prep, research guidance and leadership or volunteer activities to maximize outcomes and help them reach their academic and admissions goals.

Our services include:
  • Guidance on course selections and extra curriculum activities to build a strong package that fully reflects student’s interest and capability.
  • Guidance on all types of academic competitions.
  • Guidance on research work on math, physics, engineering, computer science and other STEM fields.
  • Create extracurricular activities to demonstrate student’s leadership and teamwork ability.
  • Create volunteer opportunities and apply for President service award while requirement is met.
  • Summer program selections and application for the summer programs.
  • Resume, brag sheets, and other material editing and enhancement for strong counselor and teacher recommendations.
  • Selection of colleges/majors suitable for the student.
  • Early Decision/ Early Action, ED2 and Regular Application support (strategy/ tactics).
  • Full Common App application details review/modification/correction/ editing.
  • Common App essay and supplemental essays brainstorming and detailed editing.
  • College interview advice.
